In his 7 game SSS to AA Grissom's tearing the cover off the ball and has continued his 40+ game on base streak.

Granted Harris was a year younger for the stats above. Also, the defensive position murkiness also probably keeps Grissom a rung lower but I still think he should be a top 50 prospect.

I agree that Grissom is a prospect.

But a year in A+ Ball can be everything.

agree. I think most people thought that Grissom was a better hitter than Harris. When you are talking peak performance that is another thing, but still likely would get more Grissom.

grissom did spend time in A+ but there was the pandemic and Shewmake ahead of him.

What are people looking for from him to see him as a big time prospect? I assume it's defensive position and iso.
 
Vaughn Grissoms stats this year are pretty dang good. He should be getting a lot more recognition and not bc he’s our best prospect.

The stats may not be telling the Smith-Shawver story. All reports are that his development has been promising

Is he simply a college arm that they think is, at this point, unchallenged at AA? Or is he a potential trade chip, and the team hopes he raises his value a little more with a good first start AAA?

Given Anderson's struggles, I'm not so sure he's not getting bumped because they think they might even need him for a start or three during the second half.
