Minor League Thread

Fangraphs Braves list is out: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/atlanta-braves-top-30-prospects-2023/

Really interesting stuff on our young pitching prospects and Alvarez, plus an interesting write up on Guanipa, comparing his offensive profile to Trea Turner.

I see Fangraphs walked back the 50 FV for Dodd Longenhangen was hinting at back in the Spring.

Otherwise, very interesting group of pitchers in the low minors and not much else. Hopefully we get some helium guys who come out of nowhere and hope these pitchers have a good hit rate.

I'll be taking in the Rome Braves tonight. Looks like Rolddy Munoz will be starting.

He pitched in relief last night (and well), so I don't know who will be starting.

Have a good time. I love going to minor league games. Twins' AAA team is now in St. Paul and I am going to catch the Gwinnett Braves when they come through town.

Yeah, they changed the projected starter to the ubiquitous TBD.

Smith-Shawver threw last Sunday, so I would think he’s on the mound tonight for Rome unless they’re really stretching out his time between starts.

Dodd starting for Gwinnett, JR Ritchie starting for Augusta. Would make for a pretty big night in the system if it was Smith-Shawver’s turn.

Yankees first rounder from last year, Spencer Jones, is playing tonight. Dude is easily the best athlete on the field. Looks like someone you'd design as a custom player in a video game.
