MINORS THREAD FINAL 4/7 .. Links to Games current

Do we have any 1b prospects? Off the top of my head, I can't think of one and that's pretty bad.

Yepez is at first base I think... expecting him to have a yuge bounce back year after injury issues last year. He's a forgotten guy who has fantastic talent and could come up bigly.

Edit: Sounds like he's moved back to 3rd base at Rome with Riley moving up.

I'm glad they moved him to third. You want to keep a prospect at his most challenging position for as long a possible.

It is not a big deal. Prospects often get moved there as they move up to the higher levels. There are a fair number of major league first basemen who came up at other positions.

We need to draft Brent rooker from my miss state bulldogs. Try him as corner OF at first, but he may move to 1b. Brent leads the sec in like every offensive category. Check this out...

Beer = .255/.488/.582 ISO -- .327

Rooker = .436/.524/.949 ISO -- .513

Surprised to see Beer not doing that great.

Is it even possible to have a lower BABIP than batting avg? That's what thebaseballcube has for beer

I believe so. A home run will push up your average but not your BABIP, unless it is of the inside-the-park variety.
