Didn't see the list for a while but interesting:

100: Kevin maitan

87: Ian Anderson

68: kolby allard

53: Sean Newcomb

16: Ozzie Albies

5: dansby Swanson

6 players is great but I feel next year we will have a few more

I could see Soroka making the list. He deserves to be there. Riley could be if he keeps going like he has been.

Yeah, I think one of the recent Pipeline Inbox articles mentioned that Soroka is essentially 101 at this point and should be on it within a few weeks when some guys graduate.

Yup. When Jose Berrios graduates Soroka is gonna take his spot.

Soroka is the kind of pitcher that pitches really well in the minors but doesn't get prospect list notoriety, and then suddenly he's knocking on the big league doorstep and will either climb the lists or never make it but be a really good pitcher.

I agree with this. He doesn't have the potential that some of our other guys do, but he also seems like a sure bet to get there and be productive for a long time.

They're all overrated garbage. You know you got issues when your "premier" talent is a Walt Weiss wannabe. Maitan will be lucky to carve out the career that Andy Marte had. And if Kyle Davies we're in the system today he'd be our best overrall pitching prospect.

Hard to argue with you because your logic is impeccable.

Despite your attempt at humor, I think Weiss with a little more power is a good comp for Swanson's floor. A .260/.350/.350 hitter with average or slightly better defense. It would obviously be disappointing if he was Walt Weiss plus a few more extra base hits, but a guy that can be anything from Weiss to Trammell is a solid cornerstone for a franchise.

And yes, all prospects have a legitimate chance to be the next Andy Marte, who was considered an elite "can't miss" cornerstone guy for quite a while.
