MLB optimistic about starting season in late June

I hope you all realize that, the shorter the season is, the less likely the Braves are to 3-peat as division champs.

yep, a shorter season screws us since the Braves are more built for a longer season. And the Braves would only play the NL East and AL East in that proposal, not good. I think we'd probably make it in the playoffs with expanded playoffs but winning the division would be really tough.

Once you open the universal DH door, you won’t be able to close it. Corona just sped up the inevitable

One would think if MLB were concerned about the fiscal health of franchises they would junk the DH entirely. Teams would no longer have to dole out big contracts to fat, old, one-dimensional players.

but like watching pitchers bat is awful. i'd rally prefer that part of the game be gone completely.

i honestly don't understand being against the DH. pitchers batting is awful. i don't love the idea of a guy just being on a team to swing the bat 4 times a game, but it's better than pitcher's batting.

I hate the DH - I really really do. I can’t stress this enough. The DH sucks. I really enjoy the strategy of selective pinch hitting and bullpen usage. The DH takes that away and I think stinks. Pitchers outta have to hit like the game was designed.

I don't mind the DH because I'm not a fan on an AL team (other than rooting for Oakland when they make a run).

I however don't wanna see it come to the NL. I've gone back and forth on it. But as Meta said, a pitcher getting a hit is something. Just like I'm not a fan of the automatic IBB.

He's actually the poster child for not letting Pitchers hit - he's going to seriously hurt himself in the box one of these days. Here's to hoping we're not paying him 8 figures when that day comes.
