Where did I say he was good?

Boom roasted.

That being said, unless Moosetacos takes off, I'd bet CJ is better next year.I think he'll rebound in some way, probably BABIP and become a more respectable hitter, but for him respectable is liek a 90 wRC+. Johnson basically had a total worst case scenario year, after last year's best case scenario, dips in his BB rate and power, coupled with a raise in Ks. He'll either improve in power, or he'll improve in K and BB rates and be around a 100-110 wRC+ next year.

Confidence is underrated in sports.

The Royal's players are playing out of their minds right now. I think this will have a positive effect for them heading into next season whether they lose the ALCS or WS or not. I think they will feel more confident at the plate just because they've done pretty well against 3 of the best pitching staffs in the majors... when they had some of the lowest power numbers in the majors.

Yes it's a hot streak now, but I think this could catapult the Royals' core into getting used to competing late in the season.

There is always a human element to life that computer simulations can't predict.

Former Brewer Dale Sveum (who played for Yost) is the Royals' hitting coach. Might be worth our while to offer him a big fat contract if he hasn't already been extended.

Moose is younger, cheaper and has more upside.

For what? Certainly not his work with Moutakas and Hosmer, two of the Royals highly touted prospects who haven't been able to develop into what they expected and had poor seasons this year. Or to a lesser extent Billy Butler who seems to be declining in recent years rather than improving. He had a .700 OPS this year!

Moose isn't good. Hosmer isn't good. They were terrible all year. And are miraculously hot. That's what happens. It's a crazy sport.

Luckiest team ever.

Stl lowest HR in the NL, now turn into the Bronx Bombers.
