Drugs. They make people do desperate and irrational things.Son was just arrested. Never understood how you could hurt a family member.

I mean I largely agree but for me it's This is Spinal Tap. Which I know is a silly film for an all time favorite but it's light enough to watch no matter th emood, it's duration is perfect, and it's so fucking quotable. He's responsible for my all time favorite movie, The Princess Bride. It's an absolutely perfect film.
Unbelievably sad. The thing that amazes me about Reiner is the wide range of his oeuvre. He delivered so many different styles from madcap comedies to heavy dramas. He'll be missed.Damn, sadly Rob Reiner is dead, seems to be murdered. Sad, just saw Spinal Tap II last month
I mean you're not wrong. I think I fell into the trap of reading some hype online and probably hyped it in my head a bit too much.Project Hail Mary is fantastic if you don't compare it to Interstellar.
I'm a sucker for films like these and Arrival and I loved Martian.
Gonna rewatch it sometime this week.

I liked all the movies listed. Martian is my least favorite of Interstellar, Arrival, and itself. I may like this more than the Martian in some ways. I'll have to see them both agian.
I haven't watched a movie on TV loose like that in ages. Unless you count A Christmas Story on TNT/TBS.I've watched the martian too much because it's been re-runned to death on FX and TNT. Edited for TV so it's sped up and cut to fit the tv time slot.
I watched it again in full on home media in 4k from start to finish and enjoyed it more.
PHM had a long run time of 2:45, but to me it flew by and was intriguing from beginning to end. The flashbacks helped the pacing. And this movie is proof that practical effects/puppetry with some CGI to supplement is much better than full CGI. Because Rocky never took me out of the scenes. It looked natural.
