He was Scar, how can he not be?
This just kind of made my life. I had no idea.
Ironically, I first learned who Jeremy Irons was as a child when I rode Spaceship Earth at Epcot. He narrated it. An epic voice.
Also, Simon Gruber.

I refuse to watch that movie. Does the movie at least hint at the fact that the main character was a piece of ****, who stole tens of millions from people and ruined their lives?

Just got "Rush" in the mail yesterday from Amazon. This is definitely perfect to show off the capability of the Blu Ray format for the hi def video and hi rez surround audio.
I'd one up you and say Tron Legacy is the best blu-ray to show off hi def video and hi def audio. Also, Dredd probably has the best audio track on any blu ray I've watched.
If you want to see what a beautiful restoration looks like, purchase Paths of Glory from Criterion.
Not the audio, but Life is the greatest use of bluray (and weed)
Saw Nebraska over the weekend. Very good movie. It's your typical Alexander Payne "small" character-driven movie with Bruce Dern and Jane Squibb showing themselves to be worthy nominees in their respective Oscar categories. Will Forte was very good as well.
I really enjoyed it. It won't win Best Picture (and shouldn't), but I wouldn't be surprised if Bob Nelson wins Best Original Screenplay. I doubt Payne wins Best Director, but he did a marvelous job with this movie.

Saw Part One of Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac. I'm not sure if it's out in the states yet.
Elegant, not absurdly explicit (although it was slightly odd to see full-on fellatio in the theater), and strangely thought-provoking. Can't wait to see Part Two.
Stacy Martin is pretty sexy in a lolita kind of way.
Are the sex scenes using stand ins? I know Shia has a stand in but wondering if the actual hard core scenes are the real people?
Apparently all the pornographic scenes scenes were filmed with body-doubles and the actual actors faces were digitally added later. To be honest, I couldn't even tell.
Interesting. I just watched All About Anna, a Danish film I think where the actors who did the sex scene actually had sex. They pre-coordinated the scene to make the actual acts seem more realistic (penetration, fellatio, cunnilingus) and it was all real and not body doubles or digitally added.
