My first trip to Suntrust with the fam....

AWFUL, .9 mile walk to the stadium and back to the car in 99 degree weather. Lastly, I’m STILL STUCK in the parking lot N29 after 45 minutes. Will not be back. #RIPTurnerField

I really haven’t had much trouble with the parking and don’t really think a mile is that much of a walk. I do wish Marta was an option but unfortunately that won’t happen in the foreseeable future.

I had a similarly bad experience when I went back in April, minus the heat. I'll be Ubering it for now on, or getting to the game 3-4 hours ahead and eating at the Battery. Their parking situation is super ridiculous.

Went last night and again today. Used Uber both trips. It was a breeze. Sorry the OP had a bad experience....for me it was dang near heaven...can’t wait to go back !!

To the parking lot or from the parking lot to the stadium?

We parked off-site (actually were staying at a hotel near the Galleria) and Ubered from there.

I wouldn't get in the middle of the CF that is near-stadium parking. The powers-that-be did a piss-poor job of planning.

Walking and late June weather = sweat bath. Not sure that should shock anyone.
Sorry you had a bad experience, but maybe learn from it instead of swearing it off entirely?

Has Uber improved?

Was only there for Opening Night last season when everything got so butchered.

Was there for the June 1st series vs Nats, and reserved ride, and was in car and away from stadium within 10-15 mins, and back to hotel in Buckhead within 30 mins. I was happy.

All kidding (and bad jokes) aside. Sorry to hear of the traffic mess at the new stadium. I think that's the plight of suburban stadiums and arenas where most everyone ends up driving. Minnesota isn't the paragon of common sense it was 50 years ago, but the one thing that has basically been done correctly is that with the implementation of light rail transit, most of the new athletic venues are at most a block or two off the transit lines. You can park at the Mall of America for free and hop on the blue line, which takes you to directly to the new Vikings' stadium or you can connect to the green line and go west to the Twins' stadium and Wolves arena or east to the Gopher football stadium on the University of Minnesota campus. The new soccer stadium will be on the line in St. Paul as well. Only two venues where it doesn't work that well is the St. Paul Saints stadium and the Wild hockey arena.

Southerners hate walking and mass transit.

Walking because...well you know.

Mass Transit because...well you know.

And oh boy, walking trails are totally out of the question.
