Not watching and not following. But read this thread for entertainment. It's hilarious reading all season thethe talk about how amazing OKC is, and then I check the scoreboard and they are getting walloped.
OKC has the best 2 players on the court, no excuses for losing by 50 points combined or whatever it's been.
You do know that the player our whole defense is designed around is hurt right?
Yes. I have read the built-in excuses for the beatdown
No, we would have been losing these games anyway with Ibaka. But, it wouldn't have been the beatdown that it has been. The Spurs are basically taking layup drills.
You do know that the player our whole defense is designed around is hurt right?
If that was the case, you wouldn't have said this:
And then they were talking to eachother laughing on the sidelines. They are overmatched this series because the coaching disparity is laughable. Its chess against checkers.
That is a true statement. The Thunder have no clue what to do on defense right now and it was sketchy a lot of times during the season with Ibaka. Our players are trained to overpursue aggresively and make plays because they know they have at worst the second best shot blocker int he league back there.
Also, a lot of Ibakas contests at the rim turn into easy buckets in transition. I'm not saying we would have won these games (at least especially not last night) but it would have been different games with Ibaka back there.
Thunders defense sucks as we've been saying all year long. That's not strictly on Ibaka being out.
You realize that the Spurs beat Miami by 36 last year in the finals right? Also, this Spurs team is better than last years team.
Again, before you say something completely wrong make sure you check this:

So basically the Thunder went from a top 5-10 defense to being absolutely blown out by a team they have owned for the past three years. I wonder why the sudden change. Hmmm....................
The thunder defense is predicated on overpursuing aggressively because Ibaka blocks everything. Him not being there destroys their whole defense and Brooks is too stupid to adjust.
That's if Miami can get past Indiana. Miami is garbage outside of Bron. Wade is above average when he's healthy.
If? That's a good one. Silver and his cronies won't allow Indiana to win the ECF.
Even if Silver had nothing to do with it (not saying I believe he does) the Pacers wouldn't take the Heat.
