I think they'll deal him though (DeRozan), but if not him, someone will be available. I think Philly will be an attractive spot next off-season because of all the upside. Saric won't be here for another 2 years, but just another high upside piece. The Sixers will have a ton of cap space too.
MCW, Embiid, Noel, top 5 pick next year, McDaniels, Saric in 2 years. Lots of upside.
The Knicks have to pray someone will sign there because they've been run so poorly. I really like what the new GM is doing, and for what it's worth:

Hinkie on @MCW1 dealing with trade rumor talks and leaks during the draft: "Welcome to being a good player. This happens a lot."

Hinkie says he has top 5 players begging him to take them. I believe it. #Sixers easily top landing spot
I trust Hinkie's words over Brules.
Still unclear why the Knicks shouldn't be laughed at. Isn't it worse to try and to fail miserably than to acknowledge you don't have a shot and look towards the future?
Not to mention taking Payton and trading him for Saric+2nd rounder next year + their 1st rounder back in 2017 was genius.
Definately a team on the rise, certainly, and lots of assets, which are used in trades. Their GM came from Morey i believe who is all about the same thing.
Lot of young talent, for sure.
Not sure if they can play Noel/Embiid together but thats a fantasic defensive duo inside.
Knicks have been poorly ran for years, not sure why BRule is saying anything. They've traded away picks for years, among many other things. Maybe Phil will turn them around but like what the Sixers are doing.
Sixers should be pretty good by the start of the 2015 season, Knicks are relying on signing FA's.
The Payton trade was good, although Orlando should be playoff good by then, if not then thats genius.
Trade rumors is what it is, pretty much every player has been in trade rumors at some point in time, it's part of the business of pro sports.
Yes, it is, i'd rather tank, be bad for a few years, than try to be good, and be in purputual mediocrity which is the worst place to be in sports which is what the Knicks have been lately. Cant suck to get a top pick, and not good enough to win/compete for a title.
