NBA Thread

Name the superstar that signed with Philly or got traded and signed with Philly.......I asked you this 4 hours ago and you have yet to answer it.

So my only assumption is that you think stars are going to come to play in Philly because of MCW/Noel and Emiib? Lulz.

Also, Shump/THJ/JR/Calderon/Early is horrible depth BUT you said the 76ers have DEPTH......this is their bench Hollis Thompson/Elliot Williams/Henry Sims/McDaniels/Russ Smith/Grant hahahahahahahahahhahahahaha

I said they had depth? I said they could in a few years with all the picks they've amassed. I think the guys they drafted this year will be solid depth in a few.
And who cares if it hasn't happened recently? They've been in purgatory recently. Yes, I think Noel, Embiid, MCW, and their other top 5 pick will bring in someone good. Not LeBron, but sure, someone good.
You have no idea whether or not someone would sign in Philly. Why wouldn't they? Did players go to Houston before recently? Philly is a great sports town. Let's not act like it's in Montana.
The Sixers are a terrible team right now. I'm not debating that fact in the least. Hence why they will get another top 5 pick. Again, the Knicks tried to compete and won 37 games IN THE EAST. I'll say it again..IN THE EAST!!! That is LOL worthy if I've ever seen it. They are and have been a joke and a mess.
It is a FACT Noel and Embiid were considered the top two talents in the draft.
Russ Smith isn't on the team BTW.
But no, I made no claim that this team wouldn't be horrible this year. I know they will be, and they will be intentionally terrible. The Knicks will stink while trying to compete, just like last year.

Maybe the Knicks can make the playoffs this year. LMAO. SUPERSTAR Melo led you to 37 wins in the worst conference that's ever existed. LOL.
Philly will have money and a lot of high upside young talent. The Knicks will have money and a Phildo and no young talent because they think they can compete.

This is easily the worst roster in the NBA, I'm not even sure it's close

Again, show me where I didn't acknowledge that? They were playing D-league guys last year and will have a top 5 pick this year (as I've said...multiple times..clearly asserting that I know they will be awful). BUT it's better than trying to compete, and failing MISERABLY as the Knicks did. WOo hooooo 37 wins. 19 wins > 37 wins in terms of overall value. MELOOOOOL

Jason Kidd on his way out of Brooklyn LOL

He demanded to have power over personnel moves and they said no, he then demanded to be able to interview with the Bucks for their head coach/president. So they said go interview

HAHAHAHAHAHA TAKEOVVVVVAHHHHH

Rumors OKC is buying out Pleiss.

Wont help much next year but in 2 years, a 4-man big rotation of Adams, Ibaka, Pleiss and McGary is intriguing.

If true, of course.

I hope they just give him 10 minutes a game this season. He did very well int he second toughest league in the world. Have to see if this guy has anything. Playing Perk during the regular season is not important against most matchups. OKC will probably release Thabeat (awesome player) and then sign a FA SG like CJ Miles or Anthony Morrow.

I really liked McGrary last year so I can't change my opinion of him now. McGrary will be the most offensively skilled big man on the team and thats going to help KD/RW a lot. I'm really looking forward to this year and just hope another injury to one of our key guys doesn't happens in the playoffs.

Wow, I can't believe Kidd would demand that after one season. He has quite the ego.

Most took his side when he had that falling out with Frank early last season, but now this story breaking makes you wonder. Kidd was probably the problem.

If anyone visits RealGM, there is a poster who started a thread breaking this story two days ago. Funny reading the posts in response with everyone figuring this was just some nonsensical troll. FWIW, the same guy is saying the Nets might make a play for Mark Jackson. Not for nothing, but he would be the last guy I'd go for if I were them. Blowing out his assistants, not speaking with members of the organization...whether Jackson was right or wrong, I wouldn't want to gamble on someone who had a so much drama at his last job on the heels of this Kidd fiasco.

Not sure about that, we all know how Brooks likes his veterans.

Miles would make sense, they offered him an offer-sheet but Utah matched 3-4 years ago.

I like McGary, if the health checks out and he's close to what he was during their run to the Title Game 2 years ago, OKC got a steal. Still woulda preferred a shooter like Napier or Hairston but with Perk and Collison gone after next year, makes sense though.

I dont know what your last part means?

The Sixers are the worst built team in the NBA. I like Embid, so they were lucky that he got injured and dropped but Noel and MCW aren't great players. They don't really have much outside of that.

Its really odd that Philly is so actively seeking to trade MCW. Makes you wonder if he is really all that good. They did the same thing with Jrue Hollidsay.

MKG is going to be fine. He's a great athlete. Way too early to give up on him.

He's just on the worst possible team for him. They'll be better next year, and so will he.

MKG cant shoot, me, BRule and others said this his freshman year.

I'll be impressed if the Suns even get meetings with those guys. My gut feeling is Melo to the Bulls while the "big 3" stay in Miami and re-tool the supporting cast.
