Wait so giles thinks Miami can still be a top team in the east? Was it you or the other Lebron lover who said they (the Heat) would be lucky to make the playoffs without James?

I think they added better pieces than they has last year (sans Lebron). Napier, Deng, Mcroberts, Granger.

They can make the playoffs. Thus its questionable whether they are better than Atlanta or not.

Atl isnt better than Wash. Might be worse than Mia, Tor, NY, Charlotte.

What teams will they be better than?

The only teams that will be better (assuming HOrfords health) will be CHI/CLE/IND. All the other teams are pretty much in the same boat and Atlanta is on the upswing. I think the Wiz take a step back without Ariza. He was a huge part of their success last year.

Beal was hurt. So was Nene (always is). Added Humpfries, Pierce) plus improvement from Rice and Porter.

What makes Atlanta any good? A good centera pretty good PF. A decent shooter that cant guard me. Nothing else to speak of.

I could go into detail as to why I think they are good but I will get responses such as "LULZ" so is it really worth it. You have made up your mind on the Hawks and thats fine. I disagree with your assessments.

Worse than New York? Get out of here with that. New York won't make the playoffs.

Lol at calling Korver a "decent" shooter.

No reason to discuss anything else with any longer.

What response is better if you claim Teague, Caroll, Mack, etc are any good?

I like the system that they play. I think its conducive to winning a lot of basketball games. I think they have surrounded the team with good shooters. I think Teague is VERY underrated and expect him to have an even better season than last year.

Horford when healthy is one of hte top 25 players in the sport. I've read positive things from their pick from last year. The coaching tree is from the Spurs and I believe in that philosophy.

I could be dead wrong but I will be here to admit it. I just don't see any East team outside of the three I mentioned that are clearly better.

Napier's looked like **** in Summer league.

Granger is done.

McBob is a good pickup but nothing to write home about.

And Deng basically replaces LeBron (huge downgrade)

It's basically the same team from last year but Deng for LeBron.

You are an idiot if you dont think the pieces mentioned are upgrades ocer the crap they had last year.

Napier might not play much with Chalmers/Cole in front of him.

As i said, Granger looked cooked last season.

McBob's a good pickup.

Deng replaces LeBron (massive downgrade obviously)

It's still pretty much the same team as last year.

Stevenson to Charlotte. East I think is betting better overall. Still not great but at least there won't be 5-8 teams who are absolutely horrid.

I actually liked what Indiana did and how they focussed on just getting shooters to space the floor more on offense. I don't think they are going to miss Lance all that much.

Kobe Bryant's salary next season: $23.5 million. Dirk Nowitzki's combined salary over next three seasons: $25 million.

LOL at Kobe. I JUST WANT TO WIN!!!

I think the EC is wide open. Probably will come down to who stays the healthiest....not sure I'd want to hitch my wagon to Wade, Rose, or Lopez.
