It's all good they have Ibaka and Adams.

Oh and Reggie Jackson.

This might actually be exactly what Perry Jones needs to realize his potential. They will force feed him now. Had his best game as a pro last night. Guy has tons of potential but seems aloof alot.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Watched the Post-Love Timberwolves on the tube last night. They won't win many, but if they can keep this core of players together they are going to be something in a few years. More turnovers than a bakery, but some really great athleticism.

Love will get his rings playing second banana to LeBron, so it will end up being a good trade for all parties. T-Wolves weren't going anywhere with Love.

They would really benefit from a rough year this year and hitting on a draft pick, but they may have too much talent. Probably a bad idea to go with vets Mo Williams, Martin, and Young....putting LeVine, Wiggins, Pek, and 1 other good player would be a really solid foundation.

Perry Jones is incredibly talented despite what you think.

He can do pretty much everything on a basketball floor. He will never have good handles which will prevent him from really being good but he has all the ability in the world aside from that. He torched the Clips last night while being the #1 option.

I was surprised how good Thaddeus Young is. Don't follow the team much since Garnett left town, but thought I'd tune in to watch Wiggins (super athlete who could really be something). Saunders is in the mold of a lot of the Minnesota coaches/managers in that he refuses to acknowledge the fact that things will likely have to get worse before they get better, so he has constructed a team that will win just enough games to stay in the "Gray Zone." Martin can still score, but he plays no defense. I wonder if he will be around after the trade deadline, because Muhammad actually looks likes he wants to play defense this year. Gorgui Dieng can play a little bit as well. Curious to see what they do with Rubio. His shooting has improved, but he can't play a lick of defense and really gets out of control at times. Thing is about this team is that they are far more athletic than any edition of the team I've can recall. Now they just have to learn how to play hoops.

How did he do the night before?

I love this wolves team. Rubio is showing some solid improvement offensively so far this year and if that can continue that is a huge development for them. They have a lot of high ceiling tlaent on that roster.

Awful and that is what a young player is going to do that hasn't had much experience. I'm not calling him a superstar...but I do believe he can be a quality starter in the league.

Tell me what Perry Jones can't do in terms of basketball skills?

If you want to question his motor then I would agree with you 100%.

He's soft. No motor. NOt a good shooter. not a good rebounder. Cant create shots by himself.

Soft - Yes
No mortor - yes
Not a good shooter - WRONG
Not a good rebounder - Wrong
Can't create shots by himself - Wrong

But thats ok, you've probably only watched him play for a handful of games in his career. I wouldn't expect you to really know how to scout him.

Why are his shooting and rebounding numbers pathetic then?

Can't get consistent playing time because he plays behind the second best player in basketball?

Nobody is going to confuse him with Ray Allen or Dennis Rodman.

He doesn't need to shoot 40%+ from three or grab 10+ rebounds a game. He is not going to be a superstar. He will be a quality starter in this league though IMO. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with some consistent playing time.

I love how your scouting consists of looking at a stat sheet of a 21/22 year old who got limited playing time. Why aren't GM's hiring you right now?

The scouting reports of perry Jones before the draft and after his first 2 years in the NBA haven't changed. They are backed up by stats. It's not about being an NBA GM, it's about having common sense. Even people that follow the team think Lance Thomas should be getting time over him.

What makes Jones a good shooter?

What makes him a good rebounder?

What makes him capable of creating his own shot?
