Bulls / Cavs was also a solid rivalry before LeBron left, and could become great again
The Cavs look awful and their team is a perfect case study in what happens when you have no rim protection. A team like the Bulls would destroy them in a seven game series.

I obviously posted that prior to checking the score of the Pistons / Cavaliers game.

Riley the GM > Lebron the GM

Kevin Love is just not a winning player. He just looks like he is floating around there. He never wants to get physical at all. Just soft.

Damn:

It was Detroit's first road win against an Eastern Conference team this season.

Not an illustrious start to the season for the Cavaliers; they'll have their hands full on Tuesday in Atlanta, even if Irving returns.

You know, it serves Lebron right. He left Miami because he wanted a younger big 3 to make his life easier. Now they traded a bunch of assets to get Love who might jolt in FA and then he will have a crappy team.

Fun fact I'd forgotten until recently: as a consequence of last season's Luol Deng trade, the Bulls have the right to swap first round picks with the Cavaliers in the 2015 draft. Considering how decently the Kings are playing in their stacked conference, coupled with how poorly the Cavaliers are playing, the Bulls may just end up with two picks in the 11-19 range.

And then Westbrook has a night like this....ugh.

That's ultimately why the Mavericks wagered they had to acquire Rondo, I think: Ellis was fine for their offensive onslaught—and, at least while Rondo grows comfortable with the new roster and vice versa, they may take a step back on that side of the ball—but there are so many elite PGs in the West (and on the few contenders in the East, should Dallas make it that far in the playoffs) that they really needed a guard that could frustrate his defensive match. It certainly worked last night.

Guards don't stop Westbrook. Westbrook stops Westbrook. Thats why its important to have KD because you just can't rely on RW to make the right decision in crunch time.

I'm still positive that the Thunder are hanging in neck and neck with these teams without KD. Once he is back in the swing of things I think its clear they are the best team.

To an extent, sure—but the more you can hassle him, and the most shots you can contend, the likelier you are to contain the damage, as well as frustrate him into perhaps stringing together some bad decisions. It's the best hope, at least, against a physically dominant player like him—though he's been a lot less liable to boneheaded nights this year than in the past.

That's the tightest I've seen the Bulls play in weeks. The bench, starting the fourth quarter, did not look ready to play with a twenty-point less; when Thibodeau finally brought some starters back into the game, Indiana already had a ****load of momentum and were playing really loose. Chicago was lucky to pull that one out.

The league has to eliminate conferences at this point. A team like the Kings if healthy would finish in the top 6 of the east. In the West? No better than 9th.

The Kings have been very uneven (letting the Knicks back in last night's game, for instance), so I'm not convinced they're coherent enough as a team to be top-six in the East; even if they were, sixth is the best they'd be.

Games like tonight are why I remain unconvinced the Kings would be top-six in the East; they're on the upswing, but they're not there yet and they need better coaching.

Cousins is literally the worst body language player in the league. I've never seen someone so visibly pissed at his teammates on the court while also not hustling on a consistent basis. That is such a combustible situation right there its fascinating to watch. Not sure how many coaches they are going to be able to attract.

Indiana just makes the game dirty. Just take the win and move on. Boys are playing well. Butler is turning into an absolute stud.

Hysterical. Yeah, Lebron went back to Cleveland to go home. He just went back because he thought it would be easier.

I still dont think he leaves, he'd look like a total idiot, worse than the Decision.

But if he does, the LeBron fanboys like BRule, giles and yeezus would try to spin it.

Man, you guys are still bitter about him beating you and you being wrong about him being a choker? Let. it. go.
