NBA Thread

I'm not claiming that Westbrook gets too many calls, though, so it doesn't really matter how much I watch him; I'm claiming Rose doesn't get enough calls. And, as gilesfan mentions, ditto Wall—and a lot of guards that go to the hole with abandon.

In general, I loathe this system of having to "earn," then receiving regularly, "superstar" calls. If a guy drives to the basket and is pummeled by defenders, he should be standing at the line as a result of the play, regardless of the name on his jersey; or, conversely—if your tastes swing this way—superstars shouldn't get any benefits for getting hacked and hit that an end-of-bench guy doesn't.

You are absolutely right. I admire guys that draw fouls and take advantage of the most efficient shot in basketball, but earn it. You don't get credit simply for driving to the lane.

Kirk Hinrich is by far the worst player in the NBA to play 20+ minutes a game.

Ok, I guess I was defensive for no reason at all. Rose has gotten to line substantially less than he has in the past and I find it hard to believe it results from not getting hte necessary respsect. I think a lot of these guys that attack (Lebron/RW/Harden) put the onus on the ref to do something since they are always attacking and it results in more FT attempts. Rose was on a huge upswing in FT attempts prior to getting hurt and it would have probably continued to go in that direction.

Bulls wont miss in the 4th, so expecting a 3, or them to make something,a Gasol quick 2 is possible as well.

Just thinking, what a terrible play call, Gasol should just go up. Moore drained open 3 of course.

Btw, I never understood why you call timeout and get the ball at quarter court. Doesn't make sense.
