NBA Thread

A little amazing how many forearm push-offs Paul employs, with never a whistle heard for it.

It's because he never fully extends his arm. As if that really makes a difference though. I don't even care for science or laws of movement or whatever, but when you are moving forward and you offer any sort of force to an object moving backwards or laterally that object will be pushed away.

Now again, I don't follow the NBA as closely as the rest of you guys do, but I've read and heard the talk that this could be the end of the Spurs as they are constructed now. Who could be leaving? Duncan retiring?

Lot of FA's: Bellinelli, Manu, Duncan, Green, Kawhi is a RFA.

Some rumors they may go after a big name FA.

I think Duncan stays if i were to say.

Good to see Atlanta post a strong second quarter; I'd definitely rather see them advance than watch the Wizards in the ECF.

This should be a competitive series, but I do believe the Hawks will win: I don't think are as bad as they looked in the first round, nor do I think Washington is as good as they looked.

So far, both teams executing well on offense, and neither team playing much in the way of defense.

If the Wiz cant take advantage of Teague on Beal or Millsap on Nene or Korver on anyone, they have no chance.

Nene has turned into pretty much crap

Damn: Atlanta just used the Gasol-in-the-corner play Thibodeau likes to call at the ends of quarters, resulting in that Horford three.

These refs are really swallowing their whistles

I've been pleasantly surprised that it's been heretofore like that in every playoff series. Between the shorter-than-expected suspensions and the seemingly greater amount of "let 'em play through it" non-calls, there's been speculation this is—at least in part—an intentional and concerted facet of Adam Silver's incipient regime.
