NBA Thread

THunder have no young players the Sixers would have any interest in. The deal would only work for Sixers if they get a big expiring and a lot of picks.

Perkins wouldn't expire until next year but I think they would be fine with that considering they want to tear it all down and just suck. Perkins will certainly help them suck.

I'm sure GM's are interested in Jackson/Lamb/PJ. All three of those have ability but uncertain futures. Jackson actually will probably be a starting PG in the league.

Even still though, I would not make this move. Its short sighted and not in line with what Presti has preached since the beginning. Like you have said, they should have just kept Harden if they are going after Turner.

They have young talent but none they'd trade for him, or shouldn't unless he'd sign an extension.

LOL. Great backup point guards like Eric Maynor. The trend continues.

Jackson has done more than Maynor. You should watch him play.

Maynor also was never the same after his injury.

Jackson is a stud and would start on some teams, and yes, Maynor hasnt been the same since his injury.

Why would Philly want Jackson when they have MCW? Also, LMAO at bringing up PJ3

Jackson is more of a combo guard than a PG so he could play at the 2 in some lineups.

I know Jones hasn't shown that much but he has glimpses. He sitll has a long ways to go but his overall athletic ability is still up there and he can shoot the ball. I'm willing to wait him out for another year or two. I think this move is stupid anyway. The young players on the team have talent. Just stay the course.

I wouldn't trade Shump either if I were the Knicks. His defense is not what it was in the past but that should come back. I like his overall ability and think he could become a 30-50 type player.

The Knicks will trade Shump for a horrible fit because Dolan is a moron, I would trade Shump but not for Faried....

Knicks just need to restart IMO and go for Love. I would not re-sign Melo for max money. That will end up hurting them down the road.

If Love leaves Minny, he's signing with the Lakers. So I'm not buying that dream....I can go either way on Melo, if they sign him to the max, they need to surround him with the right talent and the right coach. Woodson was the right guy for after MDA but he's not the right guy long term. The only people that will be on the books are Melo, Hardaway and JR....so they will still have a ton of money to spend, especially since Melo is opt'ing out and can re-sign with the Knicks letting them go over the hard-cap.

My dream would be, Melo opts-out, Knicks have room to sign Rondo and Gasol, then Melo comes back and that's the core with Shump for the final run with Melo.

That can work even with Amares money on the books for another year?

I want the Sixers to trade Turner for a lump of coal because they will win too many games with him on the roster.

Hardaway looks like he is going to be a piece. Thats a good sign from the KNicks. They need some young players.
