Carmelo, according to source, called Tim Hardaway Jr. late Thursday to express his displeasure with Phil Jackson's draft night moves. Oh boy

He should.

Melo will be 33-34 by the time the Knicks are ready to compete.

You can't keep all 3 and you can't trade Emiid because you won't get anything for him. So then you have to trade Okafor or Noel, which are the only 2 good players you have. They are screwed.

Philly has the Lakers pick next year which at worst is 15-20 or so.

Maybe lottery since the West is so freaking good.

As for better future with NY/Phi.

NY is in win now mode, Phi has potentially three lottery picks next year.

They arent done rebuilding.

Easy decision to take Okafor when he was there.

Yes they already had JoJo and Noel but reaching for Mudiay or Porzingis would be dumb.

Take the BPA, worry about the rest later.

MJ said no to FOUR 1st's and TWO 2nd's for the 9 so he could draft FRANK THE TANK

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

To be fair.

It was the 16th, 28th, Dallas pick in the 20's probably and an unprotected pick.

And two 2nds.

But i probably take it, but given how they draft, who the hell knows.

It's not a very deep draft is the problem. Ben Simmons is the only true blue chipper.

There isn't much depth in this draft at all.

Jaylen Brown is one on the perimeter assuming they wouldnt take Skal or Rabb or another big.

Jaylen Brown is fine, but Chad Ford said that Simmons is the only guy in next year's draft he would consider a no doubt top ten pick in this year's draft.

Doesnt seem to have a Wiggins/Towns at the top but overall looks alright.

No, the draft is pure trash. Simmons is far and away the best player and after that there are no stars. There's no college talent outside of Melo and LeVert and those guys don't go in the top 10 of this years draft.

It's a super weak draft.

Best talent was the Euro.

I do like Copeland from G-Town, but he wouldn't be sniffing lottery this year, but could easily be in it next year. I mean, Sabonis might be top 5................

I can't believe the amount of underclassman that tried to get in this draft when next years is garbage.

So happy the thunder are giving up their first rounder next year based on what you guys are saying now. Makes me think the deal for Waiters was worth it.

Well Waiters is worse than any player you could get with that pick, so I don't see how you can see that as salvageable.

Waiters is serviceable as long as he is controlled. He had a lot of good games for us last year in a tough spot. Sounds like there won't even be many nba players next year. In addition, the pick will probably be in the 25-30 range.

I think it's highly likely that Waiters is better than any player taken in that spot during a weak draft.
