NBA Thread

Oh, that's what it is, huh?

You have admitted that you don't watch much basketball. How would you even deny that is what Lebron did during the regular season? Heck, Turbo please let us know how much effort Lebron gave on the defensive side of the ball during the season.

I'm sorry that these explanations completely go against your ridiculous notion of how the NBA is fixed. You can continue to be the few that watch the NHL and think that sport is pristine.

Because I love basketball. You think players in any sports try as hard in the regular season as they do in the postseason? Do you understand anything?

Then why were you spouting how great Brooklyn was when nobody was trying?

They were beating the competition at an excellent clip after the calendar flipped and competed with Miami admirably in the playoffs. I never once said they were a great team.

But, nobody was trying so what does it mean?

So your reasoning only applies when it pertains to Lebron being lackadaisical defender until the playoffs, when he's a fouling machine?

I watched almost every Heat game this year. Lebron definitely took it easier in the regular season this year. Which is perfectly ok with me.

SHOCKER!

Hope we get to match up in the finals. I think the Thunder are much better prepared to take you down.

Its insane how much sports franchises are appreciating in value. Rumors that the new TV deal for basketball is going to be astronomical. The game has really turned around and is just an amazing product to watch.

Brutal loss. Pop challenged the fact that Serge/Reggie were healthy and won that chess match. Ibaka was able to lay back in games 3&4 because Splitter sucks but now he can't do that. If you ever watched Ibaka before in his career you know he isn't close to the same in his movement right now. Brooks should have seen that Reggie was hurting after the first 5 or 6 minutes yesterday. Even the broadcasters thought the same thing and Pop kept on attacking him.

That is why Pop is hte best coach of all time (sorry Phil). He runs a beautiful team and understands how to make adjustments. I didn't think we NEEDED to win game 5 as I think we will win back at home but I now have no confidence we could win a game 7 in their building unless KD/RW combine for 80+ points.

It really is fun to watch a well-oiled machine like the Spurs. I think this series comes down to simply being at home, as the home team has blown out the other in each game. However, there's clearly a wide gap in coaching here. Pop uses those guys perfectly and gets everything out of each player. They're all smart and work hard and understand the system and importance of their spacing. That said, OKC will force a game 7 because they will be at home and that's how it's gone. I feel like the teams are mailing it in early though.
