Beal could possibly be one of the best in basketball if he continues to grow (still really young). I'm sure the Wiz can find a defensive big guy to play.

He's also due a max deal that offseason on top of Gortat/Wall's deals.

Defensive bigs dont grow on trees, everyone is looking for them.

I'm not saying KD wont go there but it comes down to winning, and OKC can offer the most money, Melo showed that means something.

I have said i think it will be DC or OKC though.

Westbrook and Wall are pretty close. I'll take the guy that actually is a point guard.

Who on OKC roster is as good as Beal will be in 2 years?

Westbrook averaged 8+ assists, his passing is good.

Ibaka whose a defensive game-changer, ask Pop.

Shooting wise, no one but in terms of overall impact, Ibaka no question.

you mean like Lebron?

Obv. Durant is no Lebron, but Durant hasn't been surrounded by guys as good as Wall and Beal will be in 2016. And of course vets will flock to Washington on mid level and minimum deals.

KD isnt LeBron, the East has been god awful the last 2 years, horrible comparison.

Westbrook > Wall (Wall is a better passer but Russ kills him offensively, arguably on defense when Russ locks in)

Ibaka > Beal (now and in the future)

Throw in others on the team.

LOL off East favorites.

I would like to have kept Ariza, but he's pretty redundant and beefing up the frontcourt was more important with Nene always getting hurt. Webster is a better shooter than Ariza, just not as good of a defender. The combo of Porter/Webster/Pierce (plus being able to bring back Gortat and add Blair/Humpries) is much better than keeping Ariza.

So you dont think rotation of.

Wall, Miller.

Beal, Webster.

Ariza, Porter.

Nene, Humphries.

Gortat, Blair, Gooden.

Can win the East?

He's one player, albeit an all-time great but he joined a 33-win team, not a veteran, ready-made team whose built to win now with loads of playoff experience.

He's one of the best players of all time. ALso can't forget that they added the top pick in the draft. Not to mention what if they get Love? Bron, Kyrie and Love would be a hell of a force.

You think the team he listed can win the East? Really?

Do I think a team that has Wall/Beal/Gortat/Ariza/Nene can win a bad conference. Yes I do. Do I think its likely? Of course not but I'm not going ot rule it out.

What if Beal takes the next step? To say there is no chance they can win a bad conference is a bit much for me.

The East is no longer bad....

The East is no longer bad....

Really? The best team from last year got worse. The depth is better for sure but in terms of top end talent it got worse. I just think its a stretch to say that they couldn't get there considering their two best players should be better this year.

Yes Miami lost Bron but are you really saying they are now "bad"? They kept Bosh and Wade, added Deng, McRoberts, Bazz. Far from bad

Charlotte, Washington, Knicks, Bulls, Cavs and Hawks all got better

I said the depth got better. I'm not disagreeing with you.

But the level of play needed to win the conference has decreased.
