NBA Thread

Most people thought Jackson was a head-case and too stubborn for his own good.

I'd have to agree with Brule here. I don't think anyone thought Kerr would be this good but most acknowledged that a change could have been positive. The team is playing at a different level on both ends. To me they are at the same level as the Spurs/Thunder at their best. Maybe Memphis deserves to be in that discussion as well but I don't believe in any of the other teams in the West yet. Houston has shown some promising signs.

I would rather watch paint dry while hearing nails on a chalk board than watch some joke of a franchise like the Knicks.

The thing that gets me most of all is that there is this implication that they are a special franchise based on their history. They had two titles of course but that was a long time ago. Good thing for the Knicks is that they will always be flush with cash and sell out MSG. Givevs them a huge advantage but they have to move on from Melo.

Can't win them all. This is the type of loss that sends this team reeling. I think this years team is better than that though.

Anthony Morrow was as good of a fit for the Thunder as any free agent signed this year. So happy to have this guy!

Ok, thats pretty solid.

But in all seriousness the Thunder had no 3 point shooting last year. Morrow fits that need like a glove.

Morrow is fine. I like him for what he is. But he doesn't contribute much outside of shooting. Overall, he's a fine bench guy. But I think when you make grand proclamations like "he's the best free agent fit!" It comes across as pretty dense.

It was the right type of move to make, but it's not a move that's gonna move the needle all that much.

Changing the gemoetry on the floor in crunchtime for KD/RW is a big deal. I don't know much of Morrow from his past but he is putting forth a lot of effort on the defensive end. He gets beat of course but I'm satisfied with his intensity.

Westbrook is better than KD.

Stop it. KD is going to be top 10 all time.

I love RW more than anyone but he just isn't.

RW though is getting even better than I thought. He will be remembered fondly in NBA history.

What RW's performance tells me more than anything is that its easier to play with KD then it is with Lebron.

If Russ didnt go down, he'd be up there in the MVP mix.

I was joking on the RW > KD thing but Russ is the best PG in the game. Just a nightmare to defend. He can post you up, bigger than most PG's, mid-range, and world-class athleticsm.

Russ is putting in the effort on the defensive end this year. Hopefully that lasts. STill aren't playing their best ball but this is the best team in the league when they are.
