And he gets to the free throw line 9 times a game. Who cares if you don't like how it looks?

You are of a very very very small minority

I wish Harden played for the thunder still! Guy is a fantastic offensive player. Very underrated playmaker for his teammates. But, I don't care what the metrics say....he is not a good defen siva player but at least he's trying this year

Not easily, but when you make him go right, and dont let him shoot FT's all game, he's an average player.

This is so dumb. I wonder if any coach has thought about having their players not foul him yet. It's got to be easy because he's an average player.

Oh I agree. Defensive metrics are sketchy at best imo. But I think it's very reasonable that he's improved from the previous year. Those metrics are an indication of some improvement.

But to claim he's an average offensive player who flops his way into free throws is so mind boggling stupid that it basically strips you (heyward) of any credibility and makes me just assume you don't like Harden because the Thunder traded him. Any other explanation isnt reasonable.

James Harden, averaging 26.6 points per game in the NBA, is easy to defend.
So basically, if someone does every thing perfectly right against him, he won't score as much. I tell ya heyward, you are something.

Nobody can watch Harden play and say he isn't a great offensive player. He was torching roberson. That doesn't happen often. But, westbrook actually stuck him well.

Has nothing to do with him getting traded.

I dont ever see them winning anything the way that team is contructed.

Harden is a great, great player, i've never said he sucks.

ISO ball doesnt work in the playoffs.

Lollll first off. ISO can work in the playoffs. See Kobe and MJ.

Secondly, Harden isn't an ISO player. He plays on the perimeter and he plays PNR with Howard all day and only shoots threes, lay ups, and free throws. He also has the highest points per pass in the NBA which is a credit to his passing ability.

Lastly, you said Harden was average and qualified that by taking away one of his biggest skills (free throws) by saying you just make him dribble right.

Yes, he's pretty much a Manu-clone.

I was trolling on average but he isnt the MVP player yall say he is though.

ISO ball doesnt work in the playoffs.

Team ball, precise passing does.

MJ has the highest usage rate of any player in PLAYOFF HISTORY.

But that's not an argument I want to have.

I want to talk about Harden and Harden only. You severely underrate him relative to stats and basketball evaluators alike. I'm interested to know why

MJ is the best player ever, Harden cant even get out of the 1st round right now. Dont give me that crap.

I assume they will this year, but if they dont, any damn argument is put to bed.

I never said he sucks, i dont think he's an MVP-level player.

I didn't say Harden was MJ because Harden isn't an ISO player. I'm just illustrating why your HOT TAKE is wrong. It has nothing to do with Harden.

Well the stats and NBA evaluators agree that he's an MVP candidate this year. Why are they wrong? What's your hot take, Skip?
