Knicks only had room to add 2 max guys, not 3 like Miami did. That's why he ended up in Miami and not NY. If the Knicks had room for 3, they probably still come up short because Wade was already in Miami, so you figure the preference would have still been to form superfriends down there, but you never know.

Take Miami/Wade out of the picture and I think he would have chosen NY over CLE for sure. They were simply the rosier situation back in 2010, despite illogical reasoning to the contrary provided at the time. More cap space, better young players, not locked into over the hill garbage like CLE was. "But Cleveland is a 60 win team!" they said. Well yeah, because they had LeBron. Take him off that roster and every team with cap space at the time presented a better situation than Cleveland did.

That's the only way he'd leave CLE for NY in the future...if at some point the Knicks present a better window of opportunity. But I don't see him leaving CLE, especially not without delivering a championship.

Obviously a player is always going to consider a situation where winning is likely. But, the Knicks are not a likely spot for winning, at least not in the present. That may change in the future but that has yet to be determined. Nobody is going to go to NY just because of the Garden and people give that way too much weight.

Please explain.

1- Why the hell does LeBron care what people think of NY and MSG? That makes ZERO sense

2- If you go off the idiotic opinion that you're correct and he views himself as the care taker of the league and is propping up MSG and the Knicks.....then where are his quotes about Staples Center and the United Center?

3- What does LeBron get by lying about that?

Yeah, it's not like the best player in the game gushed about playing at MSG or anything

1. Because if basketball is good in NY then the pot is bigger for the players. I thought that was obvious.

2. The situation in NY is much different than LA or Chicago. NY hasn't seen a good team since Ewing left. This is the #1 market in the sport and the organisation is looked at as a joke. The NY franchise needs propping up. The other two you mentioned are doing just fine.

3. Lebron is hoping that he can convince great players to go there so the overall revenues go up in basketball. That is just obvious.

Anyone can talk. If it actually meant anything close to what he said he would have signed there. Its not a big deal at all to players. Its just the PC thing to say it means something. Players will come to NY when they start winning not because they play at MSG.

1- Duuuuuuuuuuuuude STOP.......basketball has gotten bigger than it ever was and the Knicks haven't been good in 15 years. How do you actually believe this BS?

2- The Lakers are doing fine? LOL......What have the Clippers won, ever?

3- LeBron is convincing great players to go to the Knicks? BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Bye.

If you don't think that basketball would do even better with a great NY franchise that was consistently in the ECF then you don't understand the way sports works.

The Lakers and Clippers are doing just find in comparison to the Knicks. Thats the point.

The Lakers are in worse shape than the Knicks, the have a superstar that is done. Melo still has years left.

The Knicks have been a joke for 15 years. The Lakers can go into a lull right now.

And the Knicks sell out every game and fans still go, what's the point? The Knicks make endless amounts of money....what do the last 15 years with Kobe matter if they are ****ed for the next 10?

I said they would be fighting for 6-7-8 seed, good try though. How's Hibbert doing? Also, didn't you say Robert Horry was a HOFer? Good call
