It's OVER 5,000!
Noel will be maxed and his offense has already grown since the start of the season.
his offense has definitely grown.
think giles called him terrible a bit ago.

Should Samuel Dalembert have been maxed?
People are making too many assessments based on a stat sheet around these parts. Stat sheets are misleading on younger players when predicting growth.
When he was younger I think it would have made sense. Now he is a good rim protector but awful everywhere else.
BWAHAHAHAH WHAT????

Saying someone is terrible now doesn't necessarily mean they will be terrible for their entire career. That's something you can't wrap your head around with Adams either (not saying he's terrible)
Noel needs a lot of help to even sniff any max player consideration.
Which should indicate a good thing right since the best offensive player in basketball really hasn't played with him yet right?
Never said I woudl do it but I would understand why a team would have depending on the supporting cash and their contract situations. Didn't Dalambert get one huge contract anyway?
thethe, you really think Samuel Dalembert should have been a max player?
To compare the two, Noel is much skinnier/weaker than Dalembert but still at a young age where you hope he gets better. Though there are plenty of others with the same offensive liabilities that never got better.
Right now, he's basically Dalembert. Slightly better defensively, somehow worse offensively. Noel is just a pathetic offensive player. He's not a great rebounder (mainly bc he's non existent as an offensive rebounder).
I would hope that would mean his usage rate would drop from 40% which would put his numbers back in line with his career rates.
What about Theo Ratliff? Though Ratliff was miles ahead of him on the offensive side. Would you have paid him max deal?
Game was a lot different when Ratliff played. It was less of the pace and space so the defenses weren't as stretched. Therefore, your rim protection wasn't as dependent on one man as it is now. If Ratliff played in today's game I think there would be teams that would consider it for sure.
Also, I didn't say that Noel is a max player right now.
