That is exactly what you did. It was a laughable comparison. Rockets don't deserve the benefit of the doubt to flip the switch like the Heat. Its a joke that you would even suggest it.

So the Heat are 1 or 2 every year but can't beat the Knicks in the reg season, so they always just flip the off switch when it's the Knicks? That hardly makes sense......OR it could be that the way teams play in the reg season and postseason are completely different and the reg season is meaningless when the playoffs come around. You can find other examples of this, I'm just using that one because I'm a Knicks fan and I know the records.

The Heat don't play hard in the regular season because they have PROVEN they can flip the switch. The Rockets are a team that is building chemistry and learning how to win together. If they can't win now they aren't going to be able to flip a switch to a level they have never shown. The Heat used to play harder in the regular season. That stopped pretty quickly when the realized it wasn't necessary because of how well they learned to play together.

Ultimately, you are still trying to compare the Rockets who have done less than nothing to the Heat who are the champs and are the favorites to be the champs this year.

Houston currently holds it's opponents to the:

4th LOWEST shooting %

7th LOWEST 3 pt %

5th LOWEST Point Per Shot

5th LOWEST adjusted FG %

9th in D-EFF

Basically they are a top 5-8 defensive team, and it's really not up for debate. But hey, keep making your SSS judgments, that's really working out for you.

Wait, can they get better or no?

With Hou, they are good, yes but overrated.

Rely too much on the 3, not a great defensive team, Harden doesnt play defense.

And yes, GS and Portland are better, not sure about the Clippers but not an insane thing to say either.

Poor KD. Must suck to know you're only the 2nd best player in the league by a big margin.

Used to be a LeBron hater, until he proved he could win and then do it again. Game 6 against Boston in ECF a few years ago impressed. I still think Ray Allen saved his second ring though, because Bron was throwing up bricks the last 20 seconds against San Ant.

Durant has time. It won't be a big negative on him when you compare him to the historically great players of the game. What Durant is doing right now is all time and he is 25 years old. He just gets better every year. If he continues this progression track for the next 2 years he could be considered to be int he Lebron class. Durant is now a borderline elite defender. All the data shows it as does the eye test when you watch. Its a joy to watch him play. There is no weakness to his game.

Lebron is still clearly a better player but Durant is closing the gap. Taken it to a whole other level this year.

Insane that Durant would play 44 minutes in a game in January. A night after playing 43 minutes. Tuesday he played 41 minutes. He has 1 day of rest.

So he plays 4 games in 6 nights. At least 3 of those he wil play 40 minutes. Dude is gonna be broken down at 32.
