I do agree it wouldnt matter where KD was.

OKC, DC, NY, Africa, China, wherever.

He'd still bring in major money.

So that wouldnt matter much at all.

At what point are we allowed to ask the question if Durant is the best player in the league? 1 ring? 2 rings?

The Magic are in good hand with Henningan, a product of both the Spurs/Thunder. They have a lot of interesting pieces and are building the Thunder way which is just getting a bunch of athletic players with big wingspans. Fun team to watch and if they make the right pick in this years draft then they could eventually be an issue in the East in a few years.

So if OKC beats Indy in the finals this year than Durant still isn't the better player? I know the talk is always how great of a defender Lebron is and that is the difference but people need to open their eyes and realize how great of a defender Durant has turned himself into at this point.

Market is overblown in the modern day. With social media now you are marketable wherever.

How many people are in NY, DC, vs. Oklahoma City? Put Durant in DC and every ****ing kid on the corner in DC will have a Durant jersey

Do you realize how many people already wear KD jersey's at away games? You are talking about just jersey sales. This guy isn't going to get more endorsements than he has already. For frack sake...he has been in a move already. Apparently, OKC does him just fine.

I think the allure for Washington is real. I won't deny that. But, I also believe that KD likes the slower pace of OKC and he has really immersed himself into that community and he is genuinely loved. I would put it at 70/30 right now that he stays in OKC and if they win a ring in the next two years (which I believe will happen) he isn't going anywhere. No other team IMO poses a threat for OKC to steal KD other than Washginton. If it does happen I can't wait to see how you get on board with KD being a top 10 player all time and potentially being in the discussion of greatest of all time.

You must not understand marketing 101.

I've don't know where Durant stands. Unlike you, I'm willing to wait and see how it plays out. He's the 2nd best player today, I don't need to discuss how he ranks historically, he's 25 or so.

What else is he going to get in terms of endorsements? Athletes make their money off of commercials/shoe deals and residuals from jersey sales.

KD has the most commercials and will soon have the second highest paid shoe deal. So where exactly is he going to get more by playing in Washington?

Durant is an all time great already. His game may not even be peaking and he is doing things that have either never been done or have only been done by a select few in the history of the league. Its not a bad thing to project like I have been doing with KD since his rookie season.

He held Melo to 3/11 shooting, 9 points when KD was guarding.

His length seems to bother a LOT of players.

His lateral movement has also vastly improved from the time he came into the league. Its clear that KD is a tireless worker and every year he gets better. If he gets better next year then holy crap thats awesome.

He's only 25 so i dont see why he cant keep getting better.

Scary but definately possible.

Hmm...so why can't it be discussed. Did you see KD's complete ownage of the Knicks yesterday.

What can't KD do? He held one of the top 2-3 scorers in the league to very little yesterday.

EVERYONE dominates the Knicks........you can't be serious.....KD has ZERO rings, Bron has 2....KD has what, 1 finals app? Bron has 5, 6 MVPS? 2 finals MVP? Should I keep going?

Is Bron the best all-time?

KD held Melo to his lowest point output of the season and the second lowest FG%. Not impressive?

I can't wait till KD wins some rings and you wont' be able to bring that up anymore.

Better win more than one, a few MVPs, all NBA D first team, finals MVPs, etc, etc, etc
