Agreed that he is a net positive in a vacuum - that said there could be some benefit to this if it means going with a better outfield and not getting caught-up making him an auto DH when not in the line-up.

Between Acuna, Ender, Ozuna, Duvall, we've still got plenty of outfield surplus and when you add in Riley + Camargo, we should consistently be able to field a "hot bat" on the DH

We'll see how it shakes out.

Right now for the OF I'd run Ozuna, Ender, Acuna against RHP but no real option for DH. Against LHP I'd run out Duvall, Acuna, Ozuna with Riley at DH. Or swap Ozuna and Riley in the OF.

Another one that rejects science and data.

Fitting

Not real sure what "data" is out there right now that's more important than the fact that America represents <5% of the world's population while accounting for more than 25% of the deaths.

Acting like we're somehow "handling" or "doing a good job" with this is pretty shortsighted on plenty of levels.

Do you really think we are getting accurate reporting from South America and Africa?

Still, the death rate is plummeting here in the states. Hopefully that continues.

For starters, I never said we were 'dong a good job'. We have Democratic governors and the media lies that ruined that. But even with all that there are several European countries that have had worse outcomes per capita than the US has had.

Aren't the red states now closings things back up and admitting they re-opened too fast?

Only because the media is causing hysteria that doesn't understand the true nature of the virus. Hospitalization rates are massively down as well as ICU bed usage.

Its young people getting the virus as well as unreliable testing that is happening outside of a controlled lab.

How about China? How about Russia?

US is a victim of being the most advanced and honest. Wish the media would do that same.

Doesn't that just completely substantiate that this is the greatest country in the world? Several countries are worse.

Want to talk about the numbers in China? Japan?

This stuff doesn't need to be political - we're doing a bad job as a whole.

The testing companies butchered things in several MLB camps this weekend. Players see that and it makes them uneasy. More and more are going to start opting out - call it an abundance of caution, call them Democrats, call them traitors - whatever you'd like. Last time I checked, looking out for oneself above all others was a Republican mantra. "America First", right?

Ah - you mean all this great private-sector testing?
