Neverending **** the Police thread.

"All states take into account a registered nursing license applicant's professional and legal history.
More than half have a fingerprint-based criminal history check; that number is expected to grow.
In some states, the CBC is performed before application, in others, after. The application also
asks for self-disclosure about legal and professional issues and, in many cases, medical
conditions that may impair practice. Many states require all legal information, including
minor juvenile offenses. Candidates should be aware that having something on their
record won’t necessarily mean they are barred from licensure. However, withholding information
could. In some states, a candidate signs a waiver, which allows all information to be released
-- including some that normally wouldn't be.Some, but not all, states require a notary signature.
In addition to certifying the veracity of the application, candidates may be asked to certify
that they have read the rules and understand their responsibilities."

I think this is great. There's absolutely a middle ground between militarization of police and abolishing police. Having alternatives that can deescalate are great.

The Breonna Taylor decision came out today. One of the officers is being indicted for firing at a neighbor's apartment. This isn't a surprise. The officers were shot at and responded with gunfire. It would be almost impossible to get a conviction for the killing of someone in the crossfire.

The real evil here is police busting down doors without warning. If a cop busted down my door in the middle of the night I'm thinking home invasion too.

This isn't the first time we've seen this. Officers in Atlanta killed an old lady a few years back after busting down her door with a no knock warrant.

You can't convict the officers when they were operating within the law. However, the law needs to be changed.

I'm aware. There is some dispute over whether the cops knocked and if so how loud they were about it.

In any case, I think police need to be a bit more hesitant to break down doors in the middle of the night.

Cops lied to get search warrant in Breonna Taylor case. The packages she was receiving for her former BF were from amazon and cops knew that. Nevertheless they say on the warrant only that she was getting packages at the residence completely omitting that they knew these packages were not suspicious in any way unless you think he was getting drugs from amazon. Yet Trumpeteers are upset about minor violations in an investigation of a crime Trump committed on live national TV.

Shocker, Detroit Narcotics unity was engaged in such massive corruption they didnt even stop once the investigation started. We need a LOT more proactive investigations to find these criminals with badges BEFORE they spend 10 years terrorizing communities. All they found was only over like 2 years stretch and still have 8 years to go through. The most dangerous criminal is one with a badge and a gun. Smart criminals sign up to be police. We cant opt out of dealing with the police. Cops can not sign up or quit if they dont like it.

Black couple takes their dog for a walk late at night. Cops roll up chasing after someone else. Cops dog not on a leash makes a beeline for the black people and starts biting the **** out of the black woman. What gets me about this is that no one will be punished for this but the tax payer. You can say its an accident, thats fine, but if it was their dog who attacked the cop and bit him I know things would have gone down differently. The couples dog would have been shot immediately whereas the cops just tried pulling their dog off
the victim. If they dog survived it would have been killed anyways and the couple would have been arrested and charged with various crimes. We need equal time for equal crime. If a police dog savagely attacking an innocent person is not a crime then its not a crime if a random person dog gets loose and attacks a cop. Cant have it both ways but of course they do.

Heres a story from a prosecutor. He gets assigned to prosecute his first felony case. The defendant was pulled over by police, reportedly argued with the cops, refused to get out, they forcibly removed him and beat him up(cops says he attacked them) and then after IDing him discover his is a felon on parole so they can search him whenever they want. So they go to his house for a search and find a gun under the couch he sleeps on. After reviewing the case he finds that the cop has no scrapes anywhere but his fists and his uniform was very neat and tidy in a picture of him after the arrest. Thats not common for a cop who was supposedly assaulted and in a struggle with a suspect. Everythings looking shady so he goes to his boss with his concerns. His boss says he doesnt care and keep prosecuting. Right before the trial he receives evidence that the gun was planted by the cops. So he again goes to his boss who tells him to try and get the suspect/victim to agree to a misdemeanor plea deal to prevent him from suing. Eventually his boss agrees to let them dismiss the case without prejudice "So we can threaten to refile the charges if he sues".

This **** right here. This is the most dangerous thing to our country, these cops actively tried to frame an innocent man and put him in prison for years and when confronted with this the DA 's office's immediate response is to engage in a coverup to protect the city and the officers. I promise you this goes on all over the country. We need the largest undercover operation in the nations history to root this **** out and put these criminals in the prison they belong in.
