I went to read further and looked at Summit News.
Turned out to be a grievance rag for people still bitching they didnt get to sit at the cool kids table at lunch.
It is great $150,000 was raised.

Cernovich is the exact kind of person who's just the worst. Yes it is harder to report when a small town police chief dies. By my estimation, not too long after the big STL papers published (i.e. STL Dispatch) other sources ran with it. ABC posted something 14 hours ago. If Cernovich was so on the beat why wasn't he talking about it when it hit the AP wire? Or could it be the USA today article published first yesterday morning and updated last afternoon? Oh wait, that doesn't fit the meme. If ABC and USAToday were talking about it they must not be mainstream media.

If it wasn't so damned expensive I would love living there. The food alone. It's the thing I miss the most about living in NJ is the food, and NY has it all. And the beauty of city is if you don't bring your A Game you go out of business.

Yeah...I kind of vacillate between sturg's and goldy's takes by the day. "How the **** can I live in this area?" to "How the **** could I live anywhere else?" Other than watching live sports on tv, going to the city to eat is the thing I miss the most during this pandemic.
Go look at what the man has done and tell me he hasn't been and tell me he hasn't been an important figure.

I've come to be pretty anti Long Islander. Some of it is unfair based on a small sample of observations. My son played AAU travel basketball last spring. For the first time he was on a team that was mainly African American and they played a few tournaments in Long Island. It was kind of shocking how racist some of the parents on the Long Island teams were.
Oh there is plenty of that here thats for sure.
But the coastline on the south shore, proximity to the city [for me], golf, access to unlimited employment, schools, etc...
Cant beat it. It's just very expensive but im fortunate I bought a house at the right time.

So yes, it gives me great pleasure to see pictures like this one. They are precious.
It really is a GREAT picture. Is it his Mission Accomplished moment? If he had had the humility and decency to film himself praying for a peaceful end to the protests .... but, I doubt the thought to actually say a prayer at church ever crossed his mind. It was all a cynical political ploy to try and wrap himself in the power of the church. I think the stunt, which included clearing a path with flash bombs and tear gas, was a big net negative.

But that would involve doing work, rather than waiting for it to come to them.
I have a family member active in local (D) politics. He/she spends at least an hour a day phone banking, registering voters and doing meet and greets.
In our small burg there are at lest 20-25 people involved.
When Libertarians begin to elect local candidates then state level candidates on theUS House candidates I will take them seriously
Otherwise they are just another niche operation
That is what killed both Sanders campaigns. Organization. At all levels.
I look at the ballot in our state and I dont see a viable Libertarian running for Recorder of Deeds let alone a Senate or US House seat
Amash is a nice story but toothless
Call me when they have something to show.
Until then I find it hard for them to be taken seriously.
Only people that couldnt win in (R) so for vanity's sake they run to this alternative .
Gary Johnson never had thestones to be a national candidate.
