Just always have to remember, that when Kaepernick knelt peacefully and quietly to raise awareness, the entire right wing was going to have a stroke.
1. He is an an overpaid athlete so he should shut his mouth.
2. He grew up in a wealthy family so what does he know.
Now, we're seeing some not so peaceful protests. Remember that Pence walked out of the stadium because a few NFL players knelt during the anthem.
Amazing how, if half the country didn't get so offended at Kaepernick kneeling during the anthem, and actually respected his protest and asked questions and were sincere about what he was raising awareness to, instead of trying to turn him into Anti-American Satan, how we could have avoided something like this potentially.

Glad to see you think I condone all the looting and rioting.
Simply saying if the right wasn't so obsessed with Kaepernick and had that Kaepernick Syndrome, we might have made progress on police brutality and who knows where we would be today.

The protests didn't happen just because of Floyd. They happened because it's been building up with things like Arbury, the girl in Louisville killed in her own home by cops at night, etc.
I'm simply saying, if Trump and Pence weren't using Kaepernick as a martyr to show everyone how much more they love the country and anthem, and instead made a serious attempt to discuss police brutality, we may have been better off.
But 1) we know the right panders to military and LEO's. So they will never be critical of cops. 2) Kaepernick was such an easy target to rile up the base of real americans.
I'm simply pointing out the irony. What Kaepernick did was so sacrilegious to some, despite the fact he did it peacefully and silently. Instead of chastising him and using him as red.meat for the base, if only the right had actually respected it and wanted to find a problem.
But it goes to show you, the right never had any intention despite the method of protest, to listen and try to fix the issue.
Kaepernick kneeling shows he was right. If you protest peacefully they just wait for you to get tired of doing it then business as usual.

The looting and riots, while I don't agree with them, have made people uncomfortable enough to actually have to sit and think about what's going on. The people trying to change the subject and focus stricrly on looting and rioting, probably never cared what happened to Floyd to begin with.

Is it the party that was using consent decrees to ask police nicely to obey the law or the party that told cops to ignore those consent decrees?
