NL Rookie of the Year Watch

All we have to follow the rest of the season is the 2026 draft lottery odds and the NL Rookie of the Year standings. Baldwin winning ROY would give us an extra pick after the first round, which means an extra $3+ million in our draft pool. A huge deal for a team with a mediocre at best farm system.

Collins is coming back down to earth as we all expected - he wasn't even in the Brewers lineup yesterday.

Horton's next two starts are Friday at Colorado and Wednesday vs the Braves.

With the Braves offense finally gelling, we could put an end to the ROY race in that Horton start. Tag him for 7 runs or more.

Horton has a lot small margin for error. 1-2 bad starts and he's done. I still think Baldwin is leading the race.

Baldwin seems to be getting close to hitting a hot streak. He is walking more and had some hard hit balls his last few games.

Baldwin has passed Collins in WAR and is 1.5 WAR above Horton. It's Baldwin's to lose imo. If Baldwin can get to 20 homers I think it's a wrap. Baldwin plays the harder position also and that will factor in to voters.

The frustrating part about Collins is he is apparently a great defender. I believe he leads the league in DRS in left field, so that's definitely propping him up right now.

With Drake sitting this whole weekend to let Ozuna get his jollies should sink Drake's chances.

Under those rules yeah. As long as he's healthy he could be right there with anybody.

I am honestly at the point where I think our best course of action is to trade any good young starters ASAP. It feels like a foregone conclusion Waldrep will have TJ in the first half next year now that he looks good.
