NL Rookie of the Year Watch

Nah. Dude thought Levis was viable QB.

Vrabel isn't terrible. He's a better option than Callahan. But I'm not sad he was fired.
This. He’s a good coach but not nearly as good as he or the media thinks he is. And he has no business being in charge of personnel decisions.

The big thing is he kept promoting his buddies or pulling other coaches that used to coach with him other places. No looking outside his bubble for the best option when things went south, just a next man up philosophy. That might work when you are BB or Andy Reid and you have a HOF QB at your disposal. But for 90% of other coaches, it's a failing endeavor.

No odds movement overnight. Obviously a big one today. Would love to hit Horton hard and still find a way to lose, but I'll settle for just hitting Horton hard and winning.

Jim Bowden is an idiot, but he just put out his NL Rookie of the Year rankings on The Athletics. His rankings:

1. Drake Baldwin
2. Nolan McLean
3. Cade Horton
4. Jacob Misiorowski
5. Hurston Waldrep

McLean being second with 31.2 innings is obvious comical. Glad to see Baldwin at the top though - the more these headlines get out there for voters to see, the better.

I’d like to put on my Captain Obvious cape and point out that we need to pound Horton into oblivion tonight….. and ideally with Drake putting one into the Chophouse

Baldwin is an everyday player and is a catcher so he should get more votes than a pitcher should if they have both had good season. I still think it's Baldwin's to lose at this point.
