Speaking of meme's and everything that's on the internet that's real.

Photoshopped fake ID card that went viral.

"President Obama is seen here not saluting the National Anthem" Truth: Hail to the Chief is playing.

Michelle Obama and Barack surrending their practicing law licenses for fear of prosecution.

Obama ordering FEMA to order 5 million portable caskets, etc.

I could go on. The problem is, these fake Anti-Obama memes do more damage than the Daily Show and Liberal ones.

KL - we're not a democracy. We're a Republic.

And with regards to assault weapons, if members of our federal government are allowed to carry them, then so too should the people.

All one need to do is go on the many anti-Obama, tea party conservative Facebook pages or Web forum.

Never seen them or heard of them, and not on FB. FB is a huge waste of time and pretty much gives you the worst view of people. Politics on FB was one of the reasons I left it.

Democratic Republic.

I'm OK with military guys having assault weapons. Our military wouldn't take orders for a private takeover and concentration camps. This is where fox news would be useful unless we imprisoned innocent Muslims then they'd endorse it.

Which is fine, until you realize any one of those pictures Can get up to 10k likes and 200k shares.

I try to avoid politics as well but I have people posting alex Jones stuff such as obama is going to take our guns round us up and call al qaeda and muslim extremist to come and Enact Martial Law.

No mention of the latest Ft Hood shooting.

Found this snippet from the AP report interesting:
"His weapon had been recently purchased in the local area and was not registered to be on the base, Milley said."

4 dead and 16 injured from a recently purchased weapon by a mentally unbalanced person. Before people say we need to tighten MH procedures. The man was being treated for PTSD. Suppose the weapon was not so readilly available? Suppose?

Flame away

I suppose he could have used his military issued one.

Imagine that, a person using a gun in an area that bans weapons.

How the heck does someone have PTSD when he spent 4 months overseas driving a truck and didn't see any combat?

Do they not have Google where you people live?
sheeesh

Quit asking questions you can easily answer for yourselves.

I only bring this up because you did first, but this looks to be a perfect example of why gun restriction laws don't always work. Thus far it appears this guy would have been able to purchase his handgun even with stricter laws in place. The only person able to stop it was the one carrying a gun.

He was not being treated for PTSD. He was being evaluated for PTSD. Might not be a huge difference but its more than notable. Was apparently mad at his superiors for not letting him attend his mothers funeral.
