What would you guys be willing to offer for Machado? I don't think he will be traded until the offseason at the earliest. It's going to take a Teixeira like haul. I would demand an extension window, so we don't make same mistake again.

Is Albies, Riley, Soroka, Sims for Machado close? Too much? Not enough?

Way too much. One of Soroka/Allard plus another Top 100 guy plus 1-2 fillers would be fair for 1 season of Machado.

And the Braves aren't getting a window to extend him. That never happens. I have no idea why folks on this board insist on bringing it up.
 
We wont be able to extend him pre FA, especially with Boras.

Heyward isnt Machado but he was traded for 5+ years of Miller and Jenkins with Walden from us.

The 1 year control kinda hurts the O's leverage.

But i'd do something like Albies, Gohara, Sims, and Muller.

Not that I think it's a good idea right now, but....

If you're going to trade for Machado, you have an (brief) opportunity after the season to try to extend him and if not then shop him to Boston and/or the Yankees (where the O's may not believe they can sell) and any number of other teams who could need a 3B (Texas, Mets, etc.)
 
Why get one year of machado?
I swear ppl go from worst team ever to legit ws contenders on 3 games.

Big move for nachado is Tex trade two.

Hey, at least trading for a 3b makes sense haha.

It's an improvement over the usual stupid ideas this board comes up with, so it's an improvement!!
 
Royals are scouting Teheran tonight.

I don't know why. Their farm sucks, and Pratto isn't even eligible to be traded yet. They would likely have to set up a 3 team trade.

Saw that tweet and went to look at their system. It really is horrible. I don't want anyone in their minors for Teheran.

Machado fills a long term hole. I don't think we should trade for him unless an extension happens which I agree is unlikely, just curious what the prospect cost would be.
 
I know Maitan is not Acuna but Acuna basically did all the minors in one year. Maitan he can be in the mayors by 2019. Why trade some prospects for Machado when he dont even is the answer probably at third base. Right now our weakness are basically catcher and left field.
 
I'm still all in on the rebuild. I want all of Phillips, Adams, Johnson, Garcia, Viz, Markakis and Teheran traded. Coppy isn't gonna do it. I've said for months our window opens 2019. All decisions should be made with that in mind. Unfortunately I think our current .500 record hasn't just changed the fan base minds but the front office as well.

He's not. He's a free agent boras client

If we make a smart splash deal it's with the astros bc they decide to go all in. Maybe they'd fall in love with Tehran or folty if gray goes somewhere else.

I still don't get the trade Tehran but get another starter thing
