Official 2017 Trade Deadilne Thread

Tehearn and Adams for Judge straight up.

Make it happen Coppy! You worked in the Yankees system so you have the connections!

It obviously ought to be left to several posters here, no???

Should have been left to you. If you were the GM the Braves would have gotten Sale for Jenkins.

You would be the most successful GM of all time!!

Except you also would have treated Wisler and Folty as equivalent pitchers...so that would have sucked.

And you would have left the roster with only 24 players after Colon was ditched, so that was also pretty dumb.

Then you would have invested Braves revenue in the lottery because "numbers guys don't win the lottery".

Nah, better not make you the GM.

Rays just got Duda for Drew Smith, who was a sub-40 FV guy when FG did Detroit's prospect ranking.

This is a good gauge for Smada's trade value...approximately Juan Yepez.

Lmao, you are hilarious.

Remember the Jose Peraza for Judge discussions?

The New York Post reported on Thursday that the Yankees had inquired about Peraza, who is playing second base at Triple-A but also has the potential to be an elite defensive shortstop. The Yankees are apparently unsatisfied with shortstop Didi Gregorius, whom they acquired in the offseason to replace retired legend Derek Jeter but who is off to a .172/.219/.172 start at the plate this year.

What the Yankees would offer in return for Peraza isn't clear, though the New York Post story mentions catching prospect Gary Sanchez as part of a potential "two-player package." However, Sanchez's stock has fallen in recent years and the Braves already have a highly-regarded rookie, Christian Bethancourt, at catcher this season.

And that's why you don't trade prospects until you know what you have.

I honest dont want to open a new thread just for this.

But people comes with this ideas of sign Moustakas and i include myself because i will like to get Darvish. Anyone think the front office is open to forfeit a draft pick to sign one of this players?

I think some of the posters on (not you, you of course) would have not made some really dumb decisions that this FO made.

Now, if it were you in charge? Where you're trading Albies for Dee Gordon? Yeah, I'll take Coppy

I'm sure some posters on here would make better gm's. I probably wouldn't do much worse, lol.

Really? Wow.

You guys probably only know the bare surface of what a GM does and the information they have access to. This might be the most arrogant thing I have read on this board.

Rangers are telling teams they will trade Darvish before the deadline.

Darvish has about $25M-$30M in surplus value. He will be cheaper to acquire than Gray (~$65m), and will most likely have more of an impact the remainder of this season and postseason.

He will be an excellent case to help dial in the price teams pay for the contenders premium.
