I know it won’t happen but I’d love if we were in on Manea. That’d cover any holes we have. Fried-Morton-Manea-Anderson-Ynoa is incredible.
 
I think someone is going to overpay for Castellanos. I don't think Castellanos is bad by any stretch, I just don't expect him to be a 4+ WAR player again. I think leaving Cincy he'll drop back down to the 2.5+ WAR range.

I'd rather have Montas but I'd take either.... I think we really need one more semi-impact starter and one more big bat. Otherwise, I'm kind of on Enscheff's side... the savings from Olson would be a disappointment.
 
Padres trade for Voit from the Yankees. So maybe another person is getting Soler, or the Padres found a taker for Hosmer?

Ronnie is out two weeks and then can’t play the field for a month plus.
You have the perfect amount until he’s cleared to play then you platoon Rosario and Duvall
Of course we know that Snit won’t do that but we can dream.
I don’t think anyone wants Herida or Dickerson playing meaningful games for us this year.
If that’s happens then we are in deep ****
 
Kinda wonder if the Soler rumors don't say as much or more about what the organization thinks about the Waters and Harris timelines as anything else. If they think one of them could take over in CF sometime in the second half, moving Duvall would be a no-brainer when Ronald's ready to play defense. Probably even brings up the question of whether someone not willing to spend much money (Miami/SF/Cleveland/Texas) might already be interested in trading for Duvall now. He'd be a pretty good fit with any of them, especially if they're comfortable with him in all 3 OF spots since it doesn't look like they're in the Castellanos/Soler sweepstakes because of the salary levels.

FWIW, if Enscheff's $180 million potential salary range is actually in play, there's enough room for Alex to add Soler and Pineda WITHOUT trading Duvall.

I’ll believe it when I see it. SD and Atlanta were the only remaining teams in on Soler? Miami was at one point, but not sure if they still are. Voigt is set to make a little north of 5mm this season. Without purging money, I’m not sure how SD can afford Soler. Is there anyone else in on him other than us?

Scwarber and Castellanos are good hitters. But both guys seem like they are in for major regression this year. Particularly Castellanos. And of course, both guys are nightmares defensively.
