Still a big if on Houston bringing it home. But pretty nuts that they are entering into the convo of a run that literally parallels the Yankees. Also shows how quickly perception can change, because as recently as entering last season, they had lost 2 WS in a row, and 1-2 record on the big stage, and were the team that cheated and post-cheating hadn't won a clean one...

Amazing how quickly things can swing, though that's also hope for the Braves, if we can just get some good playoff fortune these next few years

I can’t put into words how badly I want the Diamondbacks to win tonight. A Rangers - Diamondbacks World Series would legitimately be fun and carefree.

Also, it would be so freaking cool to see either of those franchises rise from decades of mediocrity to take a title.

And it makes me feel so much better about our choketober performance.

Yup. The added benefit of Philly fans having to watch their season end right in front of them would be pretty epic.

Hopefully the baseball Gods don't forsake us. Hopefully they give us the WS matchup baseball truly deserves.
 
Yeah the Phillies aren’t losing tonight. And Texas isn’t a tough matchup. Hate that a bought team is likely WS champ

Yeah not sure where that narrative came from. They had a ****ty last series that cost them the division but had the 2nd best RD in the AL. Twice as much as the Phillies. I'd certainly favor them in a 7 game series.
 
Maybe I’m underselling Texas. But I don’t trust their pitching, at least their starters. Phillies offense has been so above their heads so far and I’m hoping they’ll come down to earth. They also have home field which is huge.

Rangers offense is really really good. They also happen to be really hot right now which bodes well. Phillies lineup can be managed.

Rangers do have quite a bit of solid lefties which should really help with that management of the Phillies lineup. And yeah their offense is great.
