If they sign Yamamoto, it's just unfair.
The Dodgers are looking at the following playoff rotations for the foreseeable future:
This year: Glasnow, Yamamoto, Buehler
Following years: Ohtani, Glasnow, Yamamoto. That's 3 guys with top 10 SP stuff.
They will be in the running for Sasaki, too, I would guess.
And they have a gaggle of guys that can be good pitchers in the regular season.
It's a Dodger blue world.
Bowman:
This was all about getting Kerr, a power left-handed reliever who has options and is controllable. The Braves really like his stuff and upside. Carpenter will likely be traded like Gonzales and Stassi were after being acquired over the past few weeks.
Who in their right mind is going to give us anything for Carpenter? Gonzalez and Stassi are at least playable. Carpenter isn't.
This has been the weirdest offseason of trades I've ever seen.
I've been saying since they signed Lopez and said the plan was to extend him to start that they were done. Ownership is fckn cheap...Just wait until Ronald comes up for his extension...if he makes it that far of course
They just aren't going to pay pitchers or above market value for a super stat position player.
If they sign Yamamoto, it's just unfair.

Maybe he's the new veteran leader for the bench
Great strategy if you want to have the worst bench in the league.
It’s not a shocking trade at all. The bullpen was in need of three things going into this offseason:
- guys with options
- lefties
- high octane velocity
Add those up and you get Kerr from a team wanting to cut payroll by including Carpenter.
He’s not a sure thing, but he has a big fastball, lots of swing and miss, not a lot of hard contact and he doesn’t walk a ton.
I'm gonna let you in on a little secret - it doesn't matter who sits on the braves' bench
My pick for a sign is Giolito!
Any trade Pablo López!
