If Grissom bombs in LF, we can find one at the deadline. Going into the season with the rotation as is would be malpractice.

Grissom in LF would be the least of our concerns. We still have the deepest 1-9 lineup in baseball even if Arcia and Grissom are manning the bottom of the order.

Definitely would like a starting pitcher though.

Just spitballing (which is what most of us pretty much do), but it's my guess that the Braves are trying to sell high on Elder so it may have been an Elder/Grissom/low-ranked prospect for Cease. White Sox may have said, Smith-Shawver or Waldrep instead of Elder or maybe one added to the deal outright.
