Gross. Crown is terrible whiskey that happens to come in a purple bag.
Similarly, the tonic is just as important as the gin in a good gin and tonic.

Chopcountry board meet-up for cocktails? LOL
Oh damn. I passed through Greensboro twice last week.
Just give me a good single malt neat.
#Actually, pretty much all alcohol tastes bad.
When I was in college and going to bars a lot, a whiskey sour was my go to drink. Either that or Cranberry vodka (until I developed an allergic reaction to that particular drink and somehow wound up 4 and a half miles down a local nature trail with hives all over my body. I somehow developed a deadly allergy to cranberries at age 22 lol). But a whiskey sour is so good for getting a ton of alcohol in you in a short amount of time.
I have so many weird drunk college stories where I wake up in strange places. One time I got hammered at a frat party and woke up laying on the 37th row of M.M. Roberts Stadium at 6 a.m. Apparently I was annoying all the frat guys by trying to start a spontaneous pick up football game at our college stadium (for some drunk reason) and they all told me that they would meet me there to get me to go away. I still don't know how I got into the stadium, because I'm pretty sure its locked up most of the time.
So what time is JD signing his contract today???
If I drink, I just drink whatever is cheapest. I was blessed in that I get no hangover, and I don't drink for taste... I drink for the effect. I buy like Evan Williams lol

This.
There is nothing special about Crown at all. Might as well get some Seagrams and call it a day.
There are plenty of options with a better profile than Crown for damn near the same price.
Basil Hayden is about my favorite at the price point.
around cocktail hour, apparently
The Pensacola Dongalson is one of my favorite drinks!

In my defense I just recently started transitioning from beer-only to including liquor in my repertoire, and know nothing about anything other than my father in law likes Crown and now so do I.
I will be making a trip to KY to help sell slot machines to Churchill Downs next week, so I plan on educating myself a bit with several bourbon tastings.
