There is evidence (part of the Astros investigation) that the Red Sox also cheated during their most recent World Series title.....the connection...? Alex Cora

In my defense I just recently started transitioning from beer-only to including liquor in my repertoire, and know nothing about anything other than my father in law likes Crown and now so do I.

I will be making a trip to KY to help sell slot machines to Churchill Downs next week, so I plan on educating myself a bit with several bourbon tastings.

I am not sure of the proximity but the Makers plant was pretty cool and I really like makers.

I'm not really looking to see individual distilleries, but more tastings of many different types...preferably led by someone who knows how to explain the differences.

So if anyone knows a good place in Louisville for that, let me know.

I like fruity drinks and Im not ashamed

Not all “fruity drinks” are created equal. Tiki drinks are great. Flavored vodkas are not.

Try a Jungle Bird sometime:

1.5 oz black rum (Goslings Black Seal is a good bet here)
1.5 oz pineapple juice (the fresher the better)
0.75 oz Campari
0.5 oz lime juice (again, the fresher the better)
0.5 oz Demerara syrup (though a standard simple syrup works too)

Shake; fine strain, if possible (Hawthorne strain through a small sieve); serve on the rocks or over crushed ice.

Well, alcohol is truly unnecessary and who got ----faced the worst is nothing to brag about.

First clause is at least historically incorrect, while the second clause obviously misses the point of this discussion entirely.

It's my opinion, drinking alcohol serves no useful purpose at all other than to burn hard-earned money. I acquired this opinion from my late grandfather who beat alcoholism in the 1970s. I made him a promise in the early 90s not to drink and I haven't and I won't. It was an easy promise to make and an even easier one to keep when its made to someone you truly love and would give anything to have back as long as they would be healthy and without cancer that took them.

And with all due respect to that situation (and I do mean that, truly), coming into what was just a lighthearted conversation to angrily proselytize while simultaneously completely taking every single thing everyone else had said out of context just makes you look a prick.
