Official Playoff Thread

One of my unpopular opinions is that the wildcard introduction does not get enough credit for its impact on the Braves not winning "enough" titles in the late 90s and early 2000s. It added an extra team that changed the odds significantly.

Now we have expanded things again and we see the Phillies here.

There is so much variance in baseball. There is a lot of difference between 162 and 7. I didn't like expanded playoffs and still do not. I'd like to see more tweaks to emphasize regular season success.

Seeing a team we beat by nearly 20 games in our division in the WS makes me I’ll. It’s kind of like Miami has never won the east but they have 2 WS titles the same as we do while we’ve won nearly 20 divisions. The Wild Card is a disgrace.

What a great time that was. Also a big reason why I wasn't nearly as upset when the team got bounced this year.

With Acuna not being 100, and Strider not being full go, always thought it would be an uphill battle this year. Philly basically doing what we did last year is wild though lol. Astros just gotta get 1 game, to get it back to Houston but Philly's got that magic going at home.

Every single thing about that bunt attempt was fundamentally wrong. Other than it being dumb, if you ain't gonna do it right, don't attempt it. It was the equivalent of trying to pitch under-handed. At least he got a hit anyway.
