Scherzer is an absolute warrior, so I can only imagine how much pain he was in that it prevented him from going out there. That said, Scherzer and Strasburg back-to-back in Houston (provided Scherzer recovers) is a great tandem.

I’m not sure it’s necessarily a matter of pain as much as it’s a major of could he go out and effectively pitch.
