Ozzie Albies thread

I am so confused. What are we discussing here. Giving Ozzie a day off is going to change his luck. Fix his swing. Make him more selective. Make him grow three inches. What is the point here. I am all in favor of giving guys more days off. Much more than twitner is. But I am not going to claim a day off will fix crap. Oz is unlucky. Oz is chasing balls up. Oz hates to walk. But oz is good and these things will eventually fix themselves.
 
Enscheff will be right on the power, as he pretty much always is. But otherwise, it's known that Albies and Inciarte are the types that go on runs where they have multiple multiple hit games. It's coming. The more interesting thing to me is whether Swanson or Albies or Acuna finishes with the best OPS, etc on the year. I guess you could even throw Camargo in with them. I think they'll all finish between .750 and .800 this year. I'd also like to see a footrace. Take out Camargo for Inciarte. I think it would go Acuna and Swanson neck and neck, then Albies then Inciarte.

Ozzie will eventually get it going, its baseball, he's not gonna go on a 1-100 stretch, that's not how baseball works.

Go look at Albies batted ball stats split by month.

He is actually hitting fewer FBs than April, while hitting more LDs, and yet his BABIP has plummeted from nearly .300 to .100...a completely unsustainable value.

The lucky HR pop has completely evaporated, exactly as predicted. His numbers in May were much more in line with his expected output than his numbers in April or so far in June.

This is a stretch of bad luck. Albies isn’t perfect and certainly needs to be more selective, but he will be fine.

And yes, guys probably need to be given a few more days off than they have been getting.

Maybe it's a bad look, but it's worse when you literally bitch and complain after every freaking game. Not you, of course.

Ozzie: Really young....gonna be fine.

Acuna WILL struggle like this at times also. So will eleven Riley when he comes up.

All play great D and speed doesn’t slump.
 
Ozzie in the lineup today, oh no.

I guarantee he gets a day off on Monday :Alone:
