Hey at least his ERA is in the 4s. We were mowed down by 2 5+ ERA guys the previous two games. Snit needs new batteries in the hot hand detector
 
Someone over at the other forum I'm on said a former scout said it's almost consensus among scouts that Dansby is not a shortstop, and sadly, the bat might never amount to anything.

I think Albies will be fine, his K% was up this year but his hitting profile is different from Dansby, I suspect it will be an adjustment but it won't be...oh he hits .150 for a long stretch because he makes more consistent contact and is pretty fast. The call up timing is weird but from tidbits I've gotten, it seems that he was declared ML ready a few weeks ago. DOB may be rubbing it into people's faces but he might be wrong.

Not saying I know anything about scouting personally but I haven't seen that said about Dansby anywhere.

I call BS. Never heard that about Swanson from any scout
 
Actually a former Expos scout that is still well connected because he does some scouting for the Yankees. This is the post:

He thinks. And has heard Dansby is the guy the braves would trade for a pitcher. And it has nothing to do with Camargo. He said scouts are almost unanimous that Dans needs to play 2nd, and many doubt the bat ever does much. He said if there was a redo of the 2015 draft based on what people know now, Dans might be a 2nd or 3rd rounder. He thinks the hit to the face he took in rookie ball made him develop bad habits. He says the braves aren't playing him to keep his stock from sinking lower.He thinks if he doesn't get traded this week he starts playing everyday again.

Couple other things..He thinks Maitan is a beast, and thinks he sticks at SS. Said he could be a switch hitting correa.
He said Acuna was the real deal. Thinks he starts next year in right in Atlanta. He said to look out for Lugbauer. Thinks he was a steal. Said lots of teams liked him but they didn't have much wood bat record on him.

ozzie coming up is clearly a mistake and one the Braves will continue to make going forward as I said earlier. Started with Swanson and they will continue to not maximize our prospects service time which will hurt us down the road. It's laughable how bad this team is at it.

Maybe now that he struggled but before the year he had a very high floor from almost every evaluator that talked about him. Of course top prospects bust all the time so nothing is guaranteed.

True. It wouldn't surprised me if he turned into a bust but most scouts still believe in Swanson. I don't trust prospects every since the legendary Brad Komminsk fooled me, lol. I'm pissed we were both born April 4th.
