Ozzie debut tonight

I'm in favor of taking a look at Adams in left...but with a fly ball pitcher making his debut??

How does this affect his service time and super two for next year or would it have helped his service time to wait until September call ups? Or just better (service time wise) to wait till next year? Never fully understood all this

Just means they were close on something or they plan to DFA him if no one puts in a claim IMO. Dat Dude's days are numbered and he will be a Brave for less than two more weeks. Once he's off the roster, Dansby will be back up and at SS and Camargo will become the utility guy.

What's the rush though? Why not allow that process to unfold and THEN make a determination RE: Albies/Swanson/Camargo.

Plus, why should BP's days be numbered? He's serviceable and it's not like this team is going anywhere the next few months. Treat the veteran with the respect he deserves and move on at season's end.

This is not something I would have personally done if I were GM, yet it's definitely not something to get up in arms over either.

I don't see it as a "rush" - but that's just me. Yes, he's been a little cold in his last few games, but he's been exactly who everyone's expected him to be for the last two months. He's ready.

The brass - like it or not (and we're ALL well aware how many folks around here don't like it) - has said for quite some time that they're concerned with promoting the kids when they deem them "ready", and they're not going to let the sideshow crap get in the way. If ANY of these kids turn out to be good enough that it costs several million more dollars at the end of their sixth year of control, the brass is obviously willing to pay it when it comes time.

While I already stated I think this move is shortsighted and unnecessary given BP's presence, I am really excited to see Albies. I do think he's ready for a call up and maybe that's the Braves philosophy across every level of the minor leagues (which I generally like btw).

Yeah, I see what you are saying and don't really disagree at all. I think Albies is probably more than ready - I just dislike the roster crunch/transactional messiness of all of this.

#Braves plan to play Freeman back at 1B every day now, Adams in LF while Kemp out. Phillips could try some 3B.

#Braves' Snitker said Albies will play every day or almost every day at 2B for immediate future.

I'm glad FF is going back to 1b. The FO was serious I guess when they said that time clock didn't figure into their plans.

If Adams could be serviceable in LF, that could give us a pretty good platoon for next season in Adams/kemp. Maybe splitting time would keep kemp a little more healthy. Defense would be really bad, but offense could be pretty solid

Arguing with a guy on Twitter that said Dansby should be DFA'ed and loves Camargo (granted I do but as a super utility guy)...somebody quick give me Camargo's numbers before and after the all star break!!!

If he thinks Swanson should be DFA'd, probably not worth arguing with

I don't believe there is any difference.

All this moves are making me think that more moves are coming very soon. My thoughts are that Snitker will get fired in the next few days and Washington will take over.
