Too bad you need a government official to charge someone with breaking a law. So in effect the law only applies when the DA says it does. If that guy in the picture could get his own lawyer to present the evidence to a grand jury and then try the case if they agree it should move to trial we wouldnt have this problem. If my lawyer can convince a jury of the cops peers(meaning general public not his cop butt buddies) beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed a crime against me then the DA cant claim there was no law broken.
 
Is there anything to keep business owners from holding the mayor\city etc legally liable for allowing their businesses\houses to be vandalized?
