Playoffs discussion 2020

The Twins and A’s, the only two teams with a recent run of postseason futility that could rival our own, both lost game 1 and are on the verge of elimination. Not sure if that does anything for the hopes that we can get the monkey off of our back.

Dodgers? 7 straight division titles and no ring. 11 of last 16 years too.

Braves haven’t won’t a playoff series since 2001. Twins haven’t won a playoff series since 2002 and now a record 18 playoff game loses in a row.

Dodgers haven’t won a ring, but they have had “success” in the post season.

Dude. If people can **** on the Braves for 1 ring in 13 trips. I can **** on them for this.

Yeah, no ****. I agree with you. But their run of postseason futility in the last 20 years isn’t really comparable to what the Braves have gone through in that stretch.

Depends. Dodgers for the most part of their futility have been juggernauts of the league. Very much like the Braves of the 90s. Deep teams with massive payrolls. Just beasts. Braves for the most part have just been a team that loses.

Okay, and the last 5 you didn’t. And the Braves still had 4 pennants (soon to be 5) and actually won the damn thing.

Yes. Dodgers are still very similar to the 90s Braves. But it's going to end up worse as I don't see them winning anytime soon.

Josh Naylor 5-5 in the playoffs and had a 2-rbi double just now. With Clevlinger on the DL it looks like they won that trade!
