A sneaky underrated issue with Kimbrel is while when he has his command, he's very dominant, he doesn't keep his command when he throws a lot of pitches. He's not a guy you can confidently throw out there for a 6 out save, unlike a Chapman.

This is true but i dont blame them for keeping him in. Season on the line.

But his stuff isnt as crisp when he goes longer in the game.

Dusty Baker will leave his starters in for 130 pitches in the regular season and then pulls Scherzer after 98 pitches when he's given up only one hit. I'd be furious if I was a Nats fan.

This is just retroactive vindication for Fredi Gonzales.

"I guess Farrell didn't read my e-mail on using Kimbrel in the 8th inning!"

It should be over right now. The Indians really lucky the Yankees didn’t challenge that foul tip game 2

Which is bull****. Indians and Astros has to be the matchup. Two young powerhouses for the title. Way more exciting than the Yankees or Red Sox.

Then the Indians better win. Yankees not a bad team themselves

I'm fine with either the Yankees or Indians. My reflexive disdain for the Yankees subsided with the passing of George Steinbrenner. I've always thought Cashman was a decent GM (who of course has a ton of money to play with). He and Girardi have kind of changed the mindset out there. They aren't the bloated mess they characteristically were when George was meddling.
